Intercepting the signal from wireless heart rate monitors
Recording the signal on a computer for later analysis, etc.

Please note: This article is NOT complete. More info and photos will added on a time permitting basis.

Audio recording @ ~65 BPM

Audio file > 65 BPM

I have seen rates of less than 60
BPM but have not recorded them.
I will try to capture a few samples.

Audio recording @ ~180 BPM

Audio file > 180 BPM

I have seen rates of more than 185
BPM but have not recorded them.
I will try to capture a few samples.

The lower amplitude pulses are noise and interference and have absolutely NOTHING to do with signals from the heart monitor!
Only the very high amplitude pulses are coming from the heart monitor.
The peak amplitude has absolutely NOTHING to do with heart activity.
This is a cheap $25 wireless heart monitor and is only capable of measuring heart rate (BPM).

More info and a simple interface you can build to allow capturing these signals on your computer coming soon...
