GETTING STARTED WITH TCOM-777:
1. Make a back up copy of this disk using the DOS DiskCopy command as
follows: DISKCOPY A: A: <enter>. When completed, put this disk
in a safe place and complete the installation from the back up disk.
2. Set the DOS default drive to the floppy drive that has the TCOM-777
back up disk. For example, if you placed the disk in drive "A" type
A: <enter>. You should now have the DOS prompt A>.
3. Print a copy of the registration form (REGISTER.DOC), the typical
AMTOR QSO example (AMTORQSO.DOC), and the manual (TCOM777.DOC).

4. Type INSTALL <enter> and follow the on screen directions to install
TCOM-777 on a floppy or hard drive system. You will need to have a
blank, formatted floppy disk available for a floppy installation.
5. Read the manual section "TCOM-777 CUSTOM CONFIGURATION" to determine
if you need to run CONFIGTC.EXE to set your COM and Printer ports
before running TCOM777.EXE. Pay special attention to the use of
COM3 or COM4.
CHECKIRQ.EXE is a public domain utility program that has been supplied
to help you check your computer for attached COM ports and identify which
IRQ (interrupt) is connected to each port. Please note that it IS
possible that you have a COM port installed that is not supported by your
computer's BIOS. Some programs can use such a port but TCOM can not.
README.EXE is a utility that will read text files one page at a time.
The useage is README [file name] <enter> where [file name] is the name
of the text file you want to read. If you don't enter a file name then
you will be asked if you want to read this file (READ.ME). After each
page is displayed you can press the ESC key to halt the read operation
or any other key to read the next page.
